The decisions were taken at a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here on Monday.

The Chief Minster said that he visited three districts to take stock of the Covid-19 situation.

A state Cabinet meeting would be held on April 22 to take a few more decisions to contain the spread of Covid-19.

He directed the officers to increase bed capacity in Himachal hospitals, ensure availability of sufficient oxygen and medical staff.
The bed capacity would be increased in Nerchowk Medical College, IGMC Shimla, Zonal Hospital Dharamsala, Tanda Medical College, Sundernagar Hospital and other health institutions.

So far, 11.46 lakh people in Himachal have been given the first dose of corona vaccine. The state was at the 7th position in the vaccination drive across the country on the basis of population density rate.
