Shimla, Apr 22 (MNN) The Himachal government would provide free coronavirus vaccination to people between the age of 18 and 44 in its health institutions.
The decision in this regard was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here on Thursday to review the Covid-19 situation in the hill state.
All government officers/officials would preferably get vaccinated at government hospitals/health institutions.
Mobile teams would be set up at block level to provide better treatment to Covid-19 patients under home isolation and one vehicle provided exclusively to shift serious patients to hospitals.
Each medical college in Himachal would have a dedicated team headed by a senior doctor to supervise Covid-19 cases.
Incentives would be given to outsourced employees engaged in Covid-19 duties at the rate of Rs 200 per shift.
The Cabinet also decided that the state government, besides providing better treatment to Covid patients under home isolation, would also give away nutrition kits.
Services of daily/contingent workers who have completed five years of continuous services as on March 31, 2021 or would complete it on September 30, 2021 would be regularised against available vacant posts in various departments.
Services of contractual employees who have completed three years of services as of March 31, 2021 or would do so on September 30, 2021 in various departments would also be regularised.
Services of part-time workers completing eight years of continuous services on March 31 or September 30 in government departments would be regularised as daily-wagers.
The Cabinet gave its nod to open Industrial Training Institute at Baroti in Dharampur tehsil in Mandi district and to create 26 posts in different categories to man this institution.
The Cabinet members have contributed one-month salary towards the CM Covid Fund. The cheques were handed over by Thakur to Chief Secretary Anil Khachi on the occasion.
