New Delhi, Apr 25 (MNN) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday again flayed the Modi government for its handling of the coronavirus crisis in India and claimed that it was doing everything to save the Prime Minister’s “fake image”, though he did not name Narendra Modi.
Rahul tagged along with his tweet a foreign newspaper’s front page picture of pyres burning in the country to bring home his point.
“Shroud the truth, deny oxygen shortage, underreport deaths, the GOI is doing everything… to save his fake image!” the Congress MP commented on the social media while tagging The New York Times page that talked about “undercounted” corona death toll in India.
In an earlier tweet, the Congress MP from Wayanad in Kerala said: “‘System’ failed, so it’s important to do Jan ki baat: In this crisis, the country needs responsible citizens. I request my Congress colleagues to leave all political work- just provide all help and ease the pain of our countrymen.
“This is the Dharma of the Congress family.”
