Chandigarh, May 13 (MNN) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has directed officials to take up sanitisation drive in each and every village in the state.
The Chief Minister said that 8,000 teams have been formed to conduct door-to-door screening and health screening in rural areas of the state, of which 1,000 teams will soon become active.
The Chief Minister directed that every villager should be screened and general health check-up done in the next 10 days.
The directions were issued by the Chief Minister while presiding over a meeting with Deputy Commissioners and district Nodal Officers here. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala was also present while Home and Health Minister Anil Vij joined the meeting through videoconference.
The Chief Minister warned that private hospitals charging more than the government rates for coronavirus patients would be booked immediately.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan ordered food and transport facilities for nurses and other medical staff working in all COVID hospitals and medical colleges.
Anil Vij also warned that no private hospital could charge more than prescribed rate and would be acted against.
He said strict action will also be taken against government doctors writing prescription to patients to bring medicines from outside if such medicines were available in the institutions.
