MP gets 6,000 ventilators, 3,000 monitors from American India Foundation

Bhopal, May 22 (MNN) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary said on Saturday that American India Foundation (AIF) had provided 6,000 single-use self-powered ventilators and 3,000 monitors to the central state.

He said that these will be used for the benefit of patients getting treated in remote health institutions in Madhya Pradesh.

The ventilators are disposable, hands-free devices that does not require electricity or batteries.

Chaudhary during the day held a virtual meeting with AIF Country Director Matthew Joseph and expressed his gratitude for the medical equipment.

He said door-to-door survey to detect potential patients was on through ‘Kill Corona’ campaign in the state

Chaudhary said that the infection rate had decreased in the state while the recovery rate was increasing.

Joseph agreed to set up portable hospitals at three places and oxygen plant at two places in Madhya Pradesh.
