Chandigarh, May 22 (MNN) Schools across Punjab will remain closed for summer vacations from May 24 to June 23, School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said on Saturday.
These include government, semi-government and private schools.
The Minister said that educational institutions in Punjab were already closed for students due to Covid-19 pandemic, and now teachers and other staff will get summer vacations for a month.
Singla said that ever since closure of schools in 2020 due to COVID pandemic, government teachers were teaching students through the online modes, including mobile applications and TV channels.
This year too, the teachers have been helping students in every possible way to complete their remaining syllabi, he added.
The Minister appealed to the teachers to stay connected with their students during vacations and make students and parents aware of health safety protocol to be followed to contain coronavirus.
