Kabul, June 24 (MNN) The Afghanistan government said on Thursday that over 200 Taliban terrorists were killed across the country in operations by security forces in the last 24 hours.
“221 Taliban terrorists were killed and 88 others wounded as a result of ANDSF operations in Kunar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Farah, Ghor, Balkh, Faryab, Helmand, Nimruz, Kunduz and Badakhshan provinces during the last 24 hours,” the Defence Ministry said.
“Fifteen Taliban terrorists were killed in airstrikes conducted by Afghanistan Armed Forces on the outskirts of Kunduz provincial centre this morning. Also, a large amount of their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.”
It also said that six Taliban terrorists were killed and eight others were wounded in operations conducted by ANDSF in Baad Pakh district of Laghman province on Wednesday night.
Six Taliban terrorists were killed in a clearing operation conducted by national defence and security forces with support from Afghanistan armed forces on the outskirts of Qalat in Zabul provincial centre on Wednesday. Three enemy vehicles, one machine gun and a large amount of their weapons, ammunition and explosives were destroyed.
