Odisha to enforce partial lockdown from July 1 to 16

Bhubaneswar, June 30 (MNN) The Odisha government said on Wednesday that partial lockdown will remain in force from July 1 to 16 in all districts of the state. It will come into force from 6 am on July 1.

Nightly curfew will be enforced from 6 pm to 6 am daily in the whole state whereas the weekend shutdown will continue only in 10 ‘B’ category districts.

Shops dealing in essential items will open from 6 am to 6 pm in 20 districts with low infection rate during the lockdown and 6 am to 2 pm in 10 other districts.

Pre-instructions for weddings, funerals and other social events will remain in force.

Small salons across the state can open at scheduled times but spa and parlours etc will be closed.

During the lockdown, there are no restrictions on jobs like vaccination, testing and healthcare.

Category ‘A’ districts are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Debgarh, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, Subarnapur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boud, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Anugul, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar.

Category ‘B’ districts are Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Baleswar, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj.
