Haryana extends Covid curbs by week to July 19, but with more relaxations

Chandigarh, July 11 (MNN) The restrictions imposed in Haryana amid the second wave of coronavirus pandemic have been extended by a week to July 19, along with healthcare guidelines issued earlier but to be also implemented during this period.

However, the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority, also ordered on Sunday to given more relaxations in modification of earlier orders.

As ordered earlier, all shops would open from 9 am to 8 pm while malls would open from 10 am to 8 pm. Restaurants and bars (including in hotels and in malls) would open from 10 am to 10 pm with 50 per cent seating and adopting requisite social distance norms and sanitisation etc.

Home delivery from hotels, restaurants and fast- food joints would be permitted up to 10 pm.

Rełgious places would open with 50 persons at one time along with all health norms.

The HSDMA also allowed the National Law University, Delhi to hold its Common Law Admission Test on July 23 in the state.

Gatherings at weddings, cremations and burials would be a maximum of 100 attendees, subject to strict observance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.

However, weddings can take place at places other than home and courts also.

In open spaces, up to 200 persons would be allowed to gather, subject to appropriate norms.

Spas are allowed to open from 6 am to 8 pm with 50 per cent capacity with social distancing norms, regular sanitisation and appropriate behaviour.

Swimming pools would open only for such athletes/swimmers who are competing /practicing for a competitive event after adopting requisite norms.

Cinema halls (in malls and standalone) would reopen with maximum 50 per cent seating capacity along with observance of SOPs.

Universities and colleges would reopen for students for doubt classes, practicals in laboratories, practical examinations and offline examinations with strict adherence to norms. Hostels (in colleges and universities) would open for students appearing in examinations.

Department of Higher Education, Haryana will release guidelines for implementation of these orders immediately.

Coaching institutions, libraries and training institutes (government and private} would reopen with strict adherence of requisite social distancing norms. Industrial Training institutes too would open for doubt and practical classes, subject to requisite conditions.
