Mumbai, July 15 (MNN) Having carved a niche for herself in the Hindi movie industry with some remarkable roles, Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu has put on another hat — she has turned a producer by launching her production house named ‘Outsiders Films’.
Sharing the logo and name of her production house on the social media, she wrote: “Last year when it was almost a decade since I plunged into the dream this Indian film industry is, I never knew I will not just float but actually learn to swim my way through. For someone who never dreamt of being a public figure, I am forever grateful to everyone who has bestowed so much love and trust in me and my work.
“Time for some payback, because with great power comes greater responsibility. So wish me luck and I promise to try my best to bring the best, coz the view is the best from the ‘outside’. Writing a new chapter of life, now as a producer with the ‘Outsiders Films’.”
Taapsee has joined hands with Pranjal Khandhdiya and the production house’s first film will be a thriller starring her in the lead.
She will next be seen in ‘Rashmi Rocket’ which is a sports drama directed by Akash Khurana. She will also be seen in ‘Shabaash Mithu’ which is directed by Rahul Dholakia. It is a biopic based on the life of Mithali Raj.
She will also be seen in “Looop Lapeta” which is an Indian adaptation of Tom Tykwer’s 1998 German hit “Run Lola Run”.
The film is a story of a woman who needs to get 1,00,000 Deutschmarks in 20 minutes to save her boyfriend’s life. Tahir Raj Bhasin will be seen alongside her in the film.
The film is directed by Aakash Bhatia and produced by Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Aayush Maheshwari.
Taapsee is also a part of Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Dobaaraa’ and an untitled Tamil film directed by Deepak Sundarrajan.
