Haryana schools to reopen full time from December 1; Assembly session from December 17

Chandigarh, Nov 25 (MNN) Even as the Haryana schools are set to reopen full time from December 1, the state Cabinet has decided to call the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha from December 17 to 21, Education Minister Kanwar Pal said on Thursday.

The Minister told the media after a state Cabinet Meeting that the approved dates for the session will be sent to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and a meeting of Assembly’s Business Advisory Committee held after his nod.

The Cabinet also approved framing of Group-B Service Rules 2021 of Haryana Transport Department on the service conditions of department staff.

He said that effective and progressive service rules are the need of the hour to bring about efficiency and reforms and meet needs of this department. The department has drafted comprehensive service rules for Group B employees.

The Education Minister said that all government and private schools will reopen with full capacity from December 1 subject to compliance of all COVID-19 protocols as before.

If any problem related to COVID arises again in future, the government will take immediate decision in this regard, he added.

The Minister also said that the government was adopting zero tolerance for corruption, and providing jobs only on merit.

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister OP Yadav, CM’s Principal Secretary V Umashankar, CM’s Media Adviser Amit Arya, Information and Public Relations Department Additional Director Varsha Khangwal and Joint Director Aman Kumar were present on the occasion.
