New Delhi, Jan 12 (MNN) Delhi on Wednesday reported 27,561 new coronavirus cases and 40 more deaths due to the virus in the last 24-hour cycle, the Health Department said.
A total of 1,05,102 tests were conducted during the period, with a Positivity Rate of 26.22.
The recovered, discharged, migrated or duplicate cases increased by 14,957 to 15,05,031.
Delhi has so far reported 25,240 Covid deaths, with a Case Fatality Rate of 1.56.
There are still 87,445 active cases in the national capital, which has reported 16,17,716 positive cases so far with a Cumulative Positivity Rate of 4.79.
In Dedicated COVID Hospitals, 2,363 (15.96 %) of the 14,802 beds are occupied and 12,439 (84.04 %) vacant. In Dedicated COVID Care Centres, of the total 4,626 beds, 590 (12.75 %) are occupied and 4,036 (87.25%) vacant while in Dedicated COVID Health Centres, 39 (24.68 %) of the total 158 beds are occupied and 119 (75.32 %) vacant. Home isolation patients total 56,991.
A total of 2,363 Covid patients are admitted in hospitals, including 99 suspected cases.
Of the 2,264 confirmed cases, 618 patients are admitted in ICU, 739 are on oxygen support (including 91 patients on ventilator).
Of the positive patients in hospitals, 1,987 are from Delhi and 277 outside Delhi.
The RT-PCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests conducted in the last 24 hours total 85,349, with 19,753 Rapid Antigen Tests.
As many as 3,37,48,408 tests have been done in Delhi so far, which comes to 17,76,232 tests per million.
Beneficiaries vaccinated in the last 24 hours total 1,88,395, including 1,04,382 given the first dose and 61,434 the second dose.
Beneficiaries given the precaution dose in the last 24 hours total 22,579, taking the cumulative total to 41,437.
A total of 49,319 beneficiaries in the 15-17 age group too were vaccinated in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 3,52,297
Cumulative doses given so far are 2,79,08,084, including 1,61,18,429 given the first dose and 1,17,48,218 the second dose.
Containment Zones total 20,878 in the national capital at present.
The department said that all figures are tentative, subject to change on receipt of additional information.
