Kejriwal: Will implement 10-point Punjab Model if AAP comes to power in state

Mohali, Jan 12 (MNN) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday that if elected to power in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party’s government will implement a 10-point ‘Punjab Model’ to create a new-age, prosperous, and forward-thinking state.

“We have prepared a ‘Punjab Model’ based on a 10-point agenda as per the inputs from the people of Punjab for the advancement of the state,” he told the media here.

Kejriwal claimed that the AAP government will create so many job opportunities that youngsters who have migrated to Canada etc will begin to return to their native state within five years.

He also promised to finish off the drug mafia and make Punjab drug-free. “The AAP government will ensure the harshest of punishment for those accused of sacrilege and also restore peace and brotherhood in Punjab,” the AAP leader added.

He also promised to root out corruption from Punjab, saying that just like Delhi, people’s work will be done without demand for any illegal gratification.

“We will also transform Punjab’s education system in the same way that we transformed it in Delhi,” Kejriwal added.

He said that the AAP dispensation will also build modern government hospitals in Punjab as well as 16,000 mohalla clinics where every Punjabi will receive free treatment

“We will provide 24×7 free electricity supply in Punjab and will deposit Rs 1,000 each in the accounts of all women over the age of 18.”
“We will revive the Punjab agriculture and end corruption by eliminating raid raj to help traders,” he added.
