Delhi reports 24,383 new coronavirus cases, 34 more deaths

New Delhi, Jan 14 (MNN) Delhi on Friday reported 24,383 new coronavirus cases and 34 more deaths due to the virus in the last 24-hour cycle, the Health Department said.

A total of 79,578 tests were conducted in the national capital during the period, with a Positivity Rate of 30.64.

The recovered, discharged, migrated or duplicate cases increased by 26,236 to 15,53,388.

The national capital has reported 16,70,966 positive cases so far, with a Cumulative Positivity Rate of 4.93.

Active cases total 92,273 in Delhi, which has reported 25,305 deaths so far officially with a Case Fatality Rate of 1.51.

In Dedicated COVID Hospitals, of the 15,478 beds 2,529 (16.34%) are occupied and 12,949 (83.66%) vacant.

In Dedicated COVID Care Centres, of the 4,626 beds, 601 (12.99%) are occupied and 4,025 (87.01%) vacant.

In Dedicated COVID Health Centres, of the 158 beds, 12 (7.59%) are occupied and 146 (92.41%) vacant.

Home isolation patients total 64,831.

As many as 2,529 patients are admitted in hospitals, including 83 suspected patients. Of the 2,446 confirmed cases, 671 are in ICU, 815 on oxygen support, including 99 patients on ventilator. Among those admitted patients, 2,128 are from Delhi and 318 outside Delhi.

The RT-PCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests conducted in the last 24 hours total 64,183, with 15,395 Rapid Antigen Test. So far, 3,39,26,818 tests have been done in Delhi, which comes to 17,85,622 tests per million.

Beneficiaries vaccinated in the last 24 hours total 1,67,374, including 1,00,621 first dose and 42,464 the second dose.

Beneficiaries given the precaution dose in the last 24 hours total 24,289, taking the total to 89,417.

Beneficiaries in 15-17 age group vaccinated total 56,944, taking the total to 4,59,289 so far.

So far, 2,82,39,309 beneficiaries have been given vaccinations, including 1,63,13,888 given the first dose and 1,18,36,004 the second dose.

Containment zones as on date in Delhi total 27,531.

All figures are tentative, subject to change on receipt of additional information, the department said.
